Urban Fireplace 2

My project ‘urban fireplace’ addresses the challenge of increasing loneliness in cities due to a perceived lack of social interaction. Through screen-printing onto fabric, I have created designs that are inspired by partially illuminated city pavements at night, reflecting the warm glow of street lamps. Similar to a gathering around a fireplace, the textile could encourage an atmosphere for bonding and relaxation.
